Bay Bolete

 

Edible variety of boletales.

 

Cap :

Convex, dark brown. The reddish brown to tarnished brass colored pileus is viscid when wet.

Both the white context and greenish-olive tubes turn blue when cut. pore colour : khaki.

 

Stipe :

The similarly colored stipe is non-reticulated and pruinose. The flesh is white

 

Habitat :

It is often found around pine stumps, rarely on pine cones.

 

 

Occurence :

Autumn.
