'Through November Mist'

 

Col de la République,Velay, France.

 

It's a beautiful and immense wood of very tall pines and spruces (altitude c. 1100 m). It is often quite busy at the weekends, as many locals love walking among these old and impressive trees towering over their heads.

I found these woods have something about them that is deeply enticing, something magical ; and you might quite easily find yourself looking for traces of elves or gnomes at each turn of the path, for this place is just the perfect setting for a fairy tale.

These pictures were taken on a cold and misty november afternoon. Enjoy this walk through the 'Bois Frison' and just let yourself be transported to a world of magic and mysticism...
